Yesterday I attended the Kate Spade NY opening party in Northbrook, IL hosted by Liz Schneider. I heard about her after reading The Everygirl (she’s great friends with Alaina and Danielle). It was such a fun event and the Kate Spade store is so gorgeous! Everything just sparkles and shines. Liz was so sweet and I’m glad I finally got to meet her in person. Click for some more photos from my iPhone from the event and links because it’s Friday!
And in other news…
+The bucket list completing is underway. Be sure to follow along as I complete each task before my 21st birthday (53 days away).
+I’ve started planning a solo trip to Paris. I’m not kidding. This blog, Paris in Four Months, is not only beautiful but has inspired me so much. I’ve already started looking at nightly hotel prices as well as a few apartment rentals and budgeting for food, travel and other expenses. I want to take the trip in late May (Lord willing). If I start putting away money, I should have enough.
+How perfect is the J. Crew Fall 2013 lookbook? A round of applause for Jenna Lyons and her team, please.
+One of my favorite lifestyle bloggers, Victoria over at VMac+Cheese wrote an excellent beauty article on her blog about contouring makeup.
+A lot happened this week in the news. I’d just like to say tell everyone not to lose faith. Troubling times always come at a time when it seems like everything else is going wrong (Murphy’s Law), but it’s just like that Florence + the Machine song says, “it’s always darkest before the dawn.” Cheesy as that sounds I like repeating that to myself when things get tough.
I’m flying out to DC for the weekend for my dad’s family reunion. Can’t wait to share the adventures with you next week. In the meantime follow along on Instagram and have a great weekend!
